Simon first came to Paraguay in 2001. Back then he was leaving behind the office job in England to teach English to children in the Paraguayan countryside.
One of the main draws to Paraguay was how unknown it seemed and how little appeared to be written about it. That has changed little over the years and Paraguay remains unspoilt by mass tourism.
Since that Simon bought some land and had a house built and now shares his knowledge and experience with others in his blog Simon's Paraguay.
